Swimming Play Date

We had a play date with two of my favorite friends and two of my favorite babies! Thad showed off his swimming moves. He loves impressing the ladies!

Six Months Old

So much has changed with our big boy! It seems like one minute he is attempting something new and the next he is doing it all the time! It is so fun to watch him grow and learn. I feel like he is really understanding a lot and wants to be a part of the fun!

• He had his 6 month check-up yesterday and weighs 17lbs 11oz and is 27 inches long.
• He is rolling. When he is put down on his back, over he goes to his tummy and up on his arms. He looks like he is attempting to crawl. He gets up on his hands and is experimenting with his knees now. Look out, here he comes! Hopefully this stage will last a while, I need to baby proof!
• He LOVES the bath and swimming (if the pool is warm enough)! We start swim lessons in July!
• He understands "up". When he is unbuckled from his car seat he raises his arms up to be lifted out.

Eating Solids

Thad has started eating solids. We first tried avocado in Hawaii, since we had an audience of grandma and grandpa. : ) So far Thad has eaten (in order) avocado, sweet potato, pear, banana and rice cereal. We are pretty sure he likes everything but it is hard to tell since he is still figuring out what to do with it once it is in his mouth. : )

Hawaii 2010

Our first trip to Hawaii with Thad was wonderful! We can't wait to bring him back when he is older so he can swim, snorkel and discover Hawaii a little more. We had a great week in Waikiki with my parents. We spent time on the beach, at the pool and we even did some sight-seeing. Thad was great on the 5 hour plane rides - he has become quite the traveler. We love to take him new places and can't wait for our next adventure!
