4 Months Old

How did 4 months go by so quickly?! Babies grow too fast! We are just trying to savor every moment!

Thad had his 4 month check-up with our wonderful pediatrician. He is now 15lbs 14 ozs and 25 3/4 inches long.

Some things that have been going on this last month:

• Laughing, lots of smiling and talking!
• He is gaining hand-eye coordination - he really grabs toys now and they all go in his mouth : )
• He is sleeping in his room in his crib. What a big boy!
• Lots of drooling. We think some teeth are on their way.

Belly Laughs

Laughing

Over the last few weeks Thad started laughing. It is more like a purr and it is just adorable! Camryn was the first person to get him to laugh. She first got him to laugh by doing a puppy imitation - jumping up and down and barking. I honestly was doing it for weeks just to get a giggle. He is laughing at more things now, so I don't have to do "the puppy" anymore, which is a relief! : ) Mostly he loves laughing at the kids, the dog , ear nibbling and smiling in the mirror. So fun!

Easter Brunch

We had an fun Easter brunch with some of my best friends from high school, Katie and Erin, and Katie's boyfriend Steve. Steve made some dang good blueberry, buttermilk pancakes! We got the recipe and have made them twice since Easter! : ) It was so festive and fun to celebrate Easter with friends - and what naturals they are with Thad...especially Erin! : )

Cousins

Does Thad have the best cousins in the world or what?! It is so fun to see all of the cousins together. They love eachother and baby Thad so much - it is wonderful.

Swimming with the Becks

We got to see our good friends the Becks while we were in So Cal. I think the water was a little cold for Thad, but all the same we had a great day swimming and lounging by the pool.

Family Time

We had a great Richards family weekend. We spent most of the weekend at the beach and at the pool. What could be better? We also celebrated a big birthday - my big brother's 40th! Happy b-day Mark - we had so much fun hanging out!

Schmitty & Family

Our good friends from Pat's grad program, the Schmitts, recently moved to San Clemente. We are so happy they found a place that is perfect for such an ocean loving family. Can't wait to visit you again in your beautiful new beach town!

Meeting Ewan

Our first stop in So Cal was to see Pat's cousin Jamie, her husband Jacob and their adorable little boy Ewan. Ewan and Thad are going to be buddies!

When Thad gets bigger he owes you a head-lock Ewan. : )
